Yeah, passing over Clyde was really bad, but even worse, as almost everyone knows, probably the biggest gaffe of all time took place the next year, we turned down an offer from Portland of Sampson for Clyde and the #2 pick, with which we WOULD have taken Jordan. And, there were offers for teams to trade up for the #3 pick, either for which we could have taken Clyde lower or for someone's next year pick, such as PHI or SD. If we'd have traded for a next year pick, we could also have added Barkley to the bunch. We would have had: Dream/Barkely/Glyde/Jordan/Lucas ... amazing 20/20 hindsight, huh ... we'd have had 10 championships in a row. But, we were just talking about the last 10 years, not the last 25, or the last 100.
