More than likely though Trump strategists and the Senate Republicans are focusing mostly on polling in Wisconsin and Michigan.

I think the polling could be 80% overall but if polling stays in margins in these states I think they live with the results of a cover up both by stonewalling and having Moscow Mitch force a vote to acquit without a real trial.

Here’s the latest I see in Wisconsin which shows voters there pretty split and Biden only up by one point which is pretty disappointing. I remember about three or four weeks ago, Biden was up 13 points in states like Ohio so that big of a dip should be concerning.

To me impeachment polling has a vote that should favor Trump because of Dem voters that are certainly passionate about removing Trump but they are just answering this question as a strategic answer to how they feel like impeachment is a bad strategy rather than actually supporting him. That’s a pretty decent curve to grade on here, and is pretty telling that either way Trump is certainly unpopular as hell even though he can still win both a sham trial, and re-election through those key battleground states.

Senate Republicans up for re-election in 2020 are looking carefully at their own state polls as well.

Yes of course. One of the little talked about issues though is that the RNC money that gets distributed among Senators up for election is held and controlled solely by McConnell. Pelosi also has that money in the house that is used to keep members in line essentially.

This is why it’s also hard for these Senators to defy Moscow Mitch. The polling for them has to be really bad on a issue for both McConnell and the Senators to both agree it’s better to vote against their party or against Trump in this case. Like taking away healthcare type of bad.

I hope the Democrats keep up with the impeachment efforts/talk. It’s going to help the Republicans hold on to the White House and keep the Senate.

Trump is tossing long time confidant under the bus. No pardons for Stone. Stone is going down hard.

Stone has shown unquestionable loyalty to Trump, which Trump has not reciprocated.

Rudy G should be paying close attention.

I doubt it. I think Giuliani- unlike someone like Michael Cohen- is a true believer.
