I don't know why Dallas is getting all this playoff hype from different sports writers. I see them winning 7 games max. Texans 17 CowGirls 10 Carr 15/27 205yds 1td Wells 14 carries 67yds Gaffney 5catches 77yds 1td Carter 16/30 210yds 2Ints sacked 4times Emmit 18 carries 55yds
Cowboys are an 8 point favorite at Sportsbook.com I'm a big Texans fan, and an equally big anti-Cowboys fan, but I realistically do not seeing the Texans winning. We have no running game to speak of given our two best offensive lineman are injured (and that's assuming McKinney plays at center). I'd love to see Houston win, but I just don't know if we're ready...
I think that Quincy Carter will have some good games. However, I just feel like he cannot handle the starting QB job. He will not be able to lead the offense against our Defense. We win. 17-13
Texans 24 Cowboys 16 Our offense puts together some of the flashes we've seen in preseason. Defense isn't great, but for the most part keeps Dallas out of the end zone.
by "our" do you maybe mean the rams, or...? i mean, i haven't seen any flashes that lead me to believe this team is even remotely close to being able to hang 24 points on anyone.
Flashes: The 82 yard TD against the Dolphins that was called back. The 60 yard near-TD against the Dolphins where Carr overthrew Gaffney by about three yards. The 20 yard near-TD against the Chiefs where Lewis dropped the pass at the goal line. The Texans offense, especially with throwing the football, has looked effective several times in the preseason, even against first string defenses. It's all a matter of timing and better red zone execution. The errors I saw weren't errors from a lack of talent; rather it was just a drop at a bad time, overthrowing a receiver by a couple of yards, etc. It's wishful thinking for it to come together by opening day, but I think it is certainly possible, especially with the emotion everyone will be playing with. While we need more of a running game, I have confidence in Wells if he can get more touches. I'd be very surprised if the Texans don't put up at least 17 in this game. (or as I predicted, more)
Dallas 23 Houston 17 Dallas' New Defense plays for real, but the offense looks putrid and The Dallas D takes advantage of Carr to set up a few Short TD drives. The Texans look focused but lack chemistry, Gaffney beats Roy Williams over the top once, Wells looks better than Allen, Carr is so-so.
You guys know i hate the Cowgirls and I really hope you win. For the sake of honesty though, my prediction is 31-13 Dallas. Sorry.
IMO, the Cowboys O should be better than last years. We got a new O coordinator and he's pretty good. (Coslet.Sp?) Although Ismail is out, Antoine Bryant (I think that's his name.) can at least do ok in his place. There is also a guy at WR who supposedly runs a 4.0 in the 40. I don't think he's that good, though. In his only preseason game, Emmit got about 25 yards on only 3 carries, I think. And he did this with probably our backup line, or maybe even 3rd string. The Boys have had some pretty bad injuries at O line. Not as bad as the Texans, but Larry Allen and about 2 or 3 other of our starting o line have had injuries in the preseason. Also got a new TE. Haven't seen him play much, but as long as he doesn't strain his groin on a catch, I'm ok. (last years TE always did that. ) Surpisingly enough, I think QC has done pretty well in the preseason. Don't quote me on this, but I don't think he has yet to throw an int. (Knowing my luck, he's probably thrown 5.) Chad Hutchison, IMO, sucks. Real bad. I wish he would just sit out this year and learn. On D, we're pretty darn good. Pretty much kept it intact from last year, and added some playmakers. (Glover, Westbrook, Williams and Hardy.) I'm real excited about them. Well there goes my rant. Now commence the flaming! Oh yeah, the score....uh....how about 21-10, Cowboys. But anything can happend.
The Texans will hang with the Cowboys for a half till the Cowboys break away in the 3rd quarter. I like Dallas 20, Houston 10 I gave the Texans a late TD score...
Dallas 28 ... Texans 7 ... Dallas' defense will dominate except for 1 lucky pass that Gafney takes to the house. Dallas' offense will struggle some due to injuries on the O-Line but QC will have a fairly easy time with great field position all game long. Emmitt gets 120 on 22 carries. Oh yea, and QC has not thrown an interception all preseason, and has a QB rating of over 100 during the preseason so he's looked very good so far.
That's what I thought. But I usually try to forget the INT's, so I wasn't sure. From the stats I've seen, he usually does pretty well. I don't know how many times he's been sacked, but he's had some nice runs eluding defenders as well.
