He is. It's just in a half court offensive set he is one of the worst floor spacers on the team. Harms half court offense a lot. Combine that with the fact that he's sharing the court with guys like Amen who also is a poor shooter. He's in line ups with some of the worst outside shooting threats in the league.
It's 3 games in and Whitmore and Eason are injured. Bullock is learning how to play in the system and everyone is learning how to play together. We will improve, and when we do, we will win like 18 of 20. Same thing happened with Boston when Ime was there. When they figured it out, they were unbeatable.
The bench is missing Tari Eason. If you look at most championship teams they only have 6 good players and then 3 npcs. Tari is our 6th guy so him being injured is a big deal. Other than that Ime needs to dig deeper. Guys like Holiday and Whitmore have to be played. Holiday for example has produced every time he was given the opportunity but got very little burn. If Landale is playing like a scrub, bench him sooner and put in Samuels that's why we got that dude.
My trust In the bench relies on Jock, Tari and Cam. Tate on rare occasions as he hustles but has an IQ of a lobster. So basically we need Tari and Cam to play to set the rotation I have in mind.
While not good now, I think you can pencil in Tari, Cam and Amen being good reliable rotation guys (if not more) 2-3 years from now. People need to realize this "core" won't be what it is until all our picks have atleast 3 years experience. The temptation would be to start spending assets now to improve the team via trade, but I don't think short term success now is all that valuable.
Porter nightmare, injuries and Bullock doesn't wake up until Christmas. Definitely a Frankenstein happening. Hopefully Amen can shake it off quickly. I feel like Williams has the same nose-for-the-ball type energy that Tari has, he's not quite as big but I'd definitely try to run him out there. People just want Cam. Injuries piling up like this, it may be time to break the glass. It's crazy how a high volume, low efficiency, teenage scorer is what the people want after 3 years of watching high volume, low efficiency, teenage scorers suck ass at basketball.
If KPJ wasn't an idiot he would have filled the 6th man role nicely similar to Lance Stephenson. That was always going to be his role in the NBA.
I really do think we need to give Cam a shot. I trust Ime though, if he's not playing it must be for a reason but you do think he could bring a scoring punch to the bench even if it's like 8 points.
