After dealing with these a-holes for too long and not getting anywhere I need help choosing who I'm gonna switch to. I know other providers don't carry the Rockets or Astros but I can stream the games or go league pass. Direct TV? Uverse? Dish network? What are your experiences?

Went from Comcast to Uverse about 6 months ago and am still very happy with that decision (this CSN-Houston issue aside). I was a little apprehensive because I had heard that Uverse's internet isn't as good as Comcast's, but I've had no problems in those 6 months.

I can give you a referral if you go with directv. We both get a $100 bill credit.

Wish I still had my direct tv. Stupid trees.

I'm with suddenlink...which is even worse than comcast.

I've been with comcast and now suddenlink, honestly I never quite understand what you guys complain about so much in these threads.

My service hardly ever goes down. I mean it is the internet, plug up the freakin modem and go. Simple.

My family had the same problems with Comcast and their ****ty service.

    So we switched to U-Verse.

Internet has been noticeably slower for us, but I don't mind at all. (But my family do....) Supposedly it has to do what part of town you live in? I live in Memorial area, so supposedly Comcast is the fastest.

If you do switch to U-Verse and also use their home phone service, then be careful. When we switched, they ask you which packages for the phone service (three total) you want. One is unlimited, but they told us that more likely than not we won't get charge extra if we go with the middle one. First month comes back, we are charged about 20 extra dollars because we called phones that are not associated with U-Verse... which would be like 90% of our phone calls....

Regardless, I love U-Verse. Better than ****ing Comcast.

Only reason I'm glad I have Comcast right now is because I don't have to worry about missing any Rockets games.

The question should be "To whom should I switch?" or, more aptly, "To what service should I switch?"

    The answer should be U-verse.

To a group of people providing a service, yes he is; a group's objective case of a pronoun, "whom" is. I also provided the more apt way.

He of all people should know what a good question looks like.

In any case, I think it is a "yes or no" question.

If there was another cable company in my area, I would switch in a heart beat.

Comcast is a joke. My internet has been going out 10-20x a day. I asked for a service request and they said if the guy has to change anything inside they will charge me $30-50 but if I sign up for a $3.99 monthly service plan then its free..Anyways I didn't sign up for anything so the guy comes and just switches out the box..Says everything is fine. Works good for about a day, next day its going out 10-20x again..

So I call comcast and the guy says the closest appt they have for a technician to come is a week away but he understands that this is an issue I need resolved ASAP so he gives me a ticket # and says someone will call me. I was like "your not just saying that to get me off the phone right?" and hes like no.. So noone calls back. I call back the next day and give them the ticket # and they're like "yeah your scheduled a week from now.

    POS. I F***ING HATE COMCAST!

League pass won't show you the Rockets games in Houston.
