    2019 Federal tax revenue from Texas: $292 billion
    2023 Texas revenue: $188 billion
    2020 Federal aid to Texas: $68 billion
    2024 Texas budget: $321 billion
    So 292 + 188 - 68 - 321 = 91 billion

    It seems Texas would have a budget surplus of over $90 billion if all taxes stayed in the state. Of course, the federal government probably spends more than 90 billion in Texas on entitlements alone. The state would not go broke, but the citizens would quickly learn what and how much the federal government provides.
