Does capitalization matter? The law says "In God We Trust", but the US motto on currency is always depicted as "IN GOD WE TRUST". Would that be unacceptable? How about "In GoD wE tRuSt"?

I can see an argument that rendering "In God We Trust" with different characters other than English is technically a misspelling, and therefore not allowed.

However, if there is allowance for "IN GOD WE TRUST", which would be kind of bizarre if not, then it should follow any capitalization is acceptable.

One might then sneakily choose to embed an extra word to make a protest statement, like "iN gOd we trusT" (NOT).
