Tejas Chocolate & BBQ in Tomball.

I didn’t even know I needed carrot soufflé in my life until this place. Legit bbq also.

I bought my first whole brisket at the store recently and cooked it two ways...slow cooked in the crock pot for some of the brisket and pressure cooked some. I finished it under the broiler for a little bit. It came out good. I have an electric smoker that I want to use on the next one. Not sure what rub I'm gonna use? I really want to nail a smoked brisket my first time so I needs a good rub-a-dub-dub.

Was watching some dude on YouTube and he swears by a rub using Lowry Seasoned Salt, Salt, and Pepper. He was spritzing his brisket with apple cider vinegar during.

Dude there’s so many YouTube BBQ people now
It’s like they rival car review dudes
There’s this one dude who experiments with random rubs and sauces
There’s another who tries all out all the smokers

It's small (in a renovated house type thing). There will be a line, but not a CorkScrew kind of line. Seriously, get the carrot soufflé.

Family of legendary BBQ'ers dropping like flies. Most people didn't expect John to last too long, and he died just over a year ago, I guess, but damn...

    tragic.

as an aside, I feel like I'm seeing a lot of stories of people passing well before their time. 51 is young now. maybe it's always been this way, and I only hear about it because we're all so connected.

I had Killen's for the first time recently. It was SO SALTY. Honestly it was TERRIBLE. Not exaggeration. I will never get it again and it turned me off to BBQ for weeks (like getting a hangover and you never want that type of liquor again).

Always love Pinkerton's and never am one to complain about price BUT - they charge a ton, which would be fine, if they weren't so SKIMPY with everything. Sides, sauces, etc... bread should be free and they tryna charge like $8/loaf. $4 per oz on onions and pickles. Lulz. And the service is MID to be honest.

I guess Khoi is #1 for me right now but you have to jump through hoops to get it. I just want some BBQ, I'm not tryna complete an RPG Zelda puzzle.

    Need to try Truth.

Basically - BBQ scene kind of sucks right now IMO. Lots of hype and for what...

Went to Brett’s BBQ in Katy last week and was very impressed. Some of the best brisket I’ve had.

who would want to fight you? You already lead a miserable life. Hopefully you’re oblivious to that. When you pass on, may you find eternal peace.

Probably too busy with their constipation from all the carcinogenic meats they’re stuffing their faces with.

    Sides rule the table.
