Andre Johnson just droped a 4th down 4 yards to go ball. Game over.

Johnson has got to bring that ball in, but Carr also needs to learn to take some off of those short passes.

IMHO, both players were at fault.

Sure Carr could have thrown with a little less velocity, but Andre should have made that catch.

Unfortunatley, it shouldn't have come down to that. Instead of us letting DD's running open up the pass (like they did in the 1st quarter), we decided to stick with either the run or dump off for about 2 1/2 quarters.

That and penalties killed this team.

Yeah, Carr drilled that one into Andre.

That's what happens when you ignore your wide receivers all day. It's tough for them to get in a rhythm when they don't ever see the ball. Plus, Carr rifled that ball in there like a Clements fastball and, to make matters worse, threw it well behind him.

The thing that irks me about today was that it looked like the old Oilers give it to Earl, give it to Earl, give it to Earl, punt.

I know Davis has been impressive, but the whole point of running the ball and throwing the underneath routes is to open up the pass to your receivers. At some point, you have to stop playing not to lose and go for the gusto. Take a risk.

Well, we got screwed by our damn offensive coordinator again. Our offense is too damn predictable and conservative.
    Run on 1st down
    Run on 2nd down
    Pass on 3rd down
    Punt

What the hell was the run play on 3rd and 3 in the redzone at the end of the game. Just terrible playcalling. We play so much better when we throw down the field and challenge defenses. Just look at our 14-0 first quarter. That was a well called quarter. Later in the game, it seemed like we were trying to not lose the game rather than win it.

Man, I'm pissed. We had this one.   :(

DD looks like the real deal. The texans offense looks like it's going to be scary.

Carr, AJ, and now DD all studs that have plenty of time to grow. The rest of their wr core should continue to be at least solid. Their oline still has room for improvement.

They should let the o develop and give the d some youth in the next draft.

Yeah, seems like the pass was only used to get us out of a jam.

    Predictable.

That 3rd down run was what lost the game. Carr was hot, making all the right reads, hitting the open man. We get to the 8 yard line and they call a run on 3rd down when we are down by 5 points with 13 seconds left on the clock?

    Absolutely Pathetic play calling!!!!

First time ever, I have actually been pissed after a Texans loss.

In the 2nd half, not taking into account the last drive, where we pretty much had to throw, we ran the ball 13 times and passed only 5 times before 3rd down. We only passed the ball once on 1st down in the whole 2nd half.

Not a great way to end off the game. I can't believe we ran for it on third down. I don't question the play call, just the execution. If Johnson had caught the ball, he would have been doing the Reliant Leap, for sure! i just wish he could have held on, we would have been talking about how great the game was, and nto how bad the last play we ran was.

In homage to Domanick Davis. Here's a little RB history...

Thats funny........ me too. This is the first Texans game where we SHOULD have won, but our WAAAAY too conservative offensive play calling blew it. Our defense was fantastic all game long except for the final Jets drive.

    Run
    Run
    Pass
    Punt

 I was sooooooooo pissed after that.

Then we run the ball on 3rd freaking down in the red zone???? Thats where I throw various objects at the telvision set in fury.

    Coaching staff blew this one......
