Haha he looks like he's just tapping Holmes and asking if he can just slow down for him.....man he's suupose to lunge out or give more effort than that
You can make a yearbook of Matt Stevens doing this same play against Ricky Williams, Chris Chambers, Dontae Stallworth,Duece McCallister, Joe Horn, Dante Hall, etc...........................
Sad to see the Texans lose, but I'm kind of glad Stevens screwed up again just so I can see these funny remarks. Everytime I see Carr and Johnson play, I get amazed. That's a great duo to have.
What game were you watching?!?! We got our ass pounded like were in a state penitentiary. I like NFL football, and I have to cut the Texans some slack for being such a young team, but the past two games have really had some 2nd-half nightmares. I think we're being out-coached. -- droxford
Well, you know what they say, you can't thumbtackle Priest Holmes, you got to wrap him up with both fingers.....
I actually thought that Stevens had one of his better games today. Off course that's not saying much. Are you guys as in shock an awe as I am when Stevens actually makes a tackle by himself? The game was a blow out but that's what happens when you turn the ball over 4 times against a great offense like the Chiefs have. Two things that I take away from this game that brings a smile to my face. Andre Johnson and Tony Hollings. Andre gets better every week and is looking more and more like Terrell Owens. If he keeps this up he could be a pro bowler his first season in the league which rarely happens for WRs. Tony Hollings has some sick acceleration to the outside and to the hole. If he continues to improve, and can stay healthy in the future, he looks like he will be a 1,500+ yard rusher. So while still a blowout the game showed promise for the Texans in the future.
Hey next time you make a smartass remark like that, make sure you know what the person is talking about. I was refering to the HOU-BUF game of last year, not todays game vs. the Chiefs.
Alright, that's cool. And yes they did, in the second half at least...for the second week in a row....I'm gonna start fearing second halfs for the Texans now.
I think Dre's improving a lot, which is good. One thing I didn't like was on that one 3rd and short, where they bombed it out to Johnson, it looked like he jumped too late, and didn't try to knock it out of the CBs hands. I know he's just a rookie, but you have to at least TRY to knock the ball out, right? Turn from a WR to a CB for just that play? Am I wrong for criticizing that one play (he had a great game overall!)?
While the opponent's name in your prediction was close, the score was closer. Hopefully we smoke some Jacksonville rear next week!
