He was, he was delegating more of the GM duties. However, it affected the offense. You heard the stories about Tim Kelly putting in game plans and BoB changing them on Saturday.

So was it because he was GM that he admittedly didn't have a play to call from inside the Chief's 15 yard line on 4th and 1 with a 21-0 lead?

We need to sign josh gordon and have him live with john lucas. He would be a good fuller/cobb/ cooks injury replacement.

Because the NFL doesn’t work like that. You will know who call the plays.

Well he can get high all day now and not get in trouble for it. Sucks he just isn’t that good anymore though and it’s been that way for quite some time

No you don't. Pull up where you hear: "O'Brien is not calling plays anymore...". He gave it to Godsey....ONCE and took it back because the offense was SO bad.

So, why did you so confidently shoot down @coachbadlee when he mentioned how "we've heard that before" about O'Brien relinquishing play calling duties?

Because he has given them up. Hell, there is always a chance a Offensive Head Coach will take over the play calling duties. Same with a Defensive Head Coach. The difference is, O'Brien has the GM title and he knows he can't do all 3. He is more likely to fire Kelly and bring in someone from outside after the season. However, it is Kelly's for this season because BoB is the GM and he knows he has the power.

So, then you agree, that there is always the possibility that BoB may take over the pay calling duties and that @coachbadlee made a perfectly reasonable comment.

There is a chance that you will get hit by a Bus.

I suspect the chances of O'Brien taking over play calling duties are 100000000x greater than me being hit by a bus.

Watson's improvement hinges on his ability to improve his accuracy. See the difference in accuracy between Mahomes and Watson.

Mahomes is in WAAAY better situation with his organization. The Chiefs know what they're doing. Billy Bob has this organization running in place.
