Don't know anything about coaches, but if ya'll think he is good, that's ok with me. Think we can make the playoffs next year?
very possible. bad teams become good teams (and vice versa) in a second in the NFL [Not For Long]. well unless you're the Jags, Raiders or Browns.
Dumb question: But what's the problem with Manziel as a prospect? Is it because he's short? Russell Wilson IIRC was considered very talented, but his height deterred a lot of people away from him
The problem I have with Bridgewater's lower frame, I have with Manziel's entire frame. Can these guys stay healthy for the approximately 200 games you'd want/expect your number one overall drafted QB to start? Between the two, I'm torn, Bridgewater is taller (and has a stronger arm), but Manziel has bigger hands and the "it factor". I have serious doubts that either have the bodies necessary to take the sort of hits that they are going to take.
Exactly it for me, too. And Manziel has relied too much on his athleticism during college, which has led to some amazing plays, but also to some punishment. Teddy has also taken some punishment, but is more of a pocket passer with some athleticism, and is a bit taller. Honestly, I think Bridgewater will be the best of the bunch, but it's a crapshoot. They could all be great (Bridgewater, Manziel, and Bortles) or none of them could. Who knows. I'll just have to trust our new coaching staff, I guess. It's a time of excitement for once this football year, though.
are you serious? lobbing balls up for jump-balls wont work in the nfl (manziel) dont be fooled by the hype. tim tebow is one of the greatest ncaaF qbs of all time and he was ****ing trash, if you think matt schaub is trash wait til you see this piece of ****
I didn't know who BOB was 3 weeks ago, but I think he will be a great NFL head coach. From the videos posted about who to tab at QB, he never mentions size, he mentions football IQ and the willingness to work at it, using the 6'0" McGloin as his example. That seems to be dead on description of Teddy B, but I'm on the Johnny Football bandwagon now. I also read Romeo Crennel was getting $3.5 million this year and next year from his contract with KC for not coaching. I'd like to know if he still gets it if he takes a DC job, because as an old fat man, I would just collect the cash.
We need to shore up our OL at the same time. Investing in a franchise qb only to have him run for his life is how we started off as a franchise.
The line isn't THAT bad... but still needs improving. And likely will need some new personnel regardless since O'Brien prefers a power scheme.
