I think that is a mistake. Tua should be the one the Dolphins should be after. Start Fitz and let Tua sit for a year.
If Tunsil was in this draft there is a good chance he would go #2 to the Redskins. Texans paid fair value to get him and lock down that position for no less than 5 years.
Wow! That's amazing. Note Lombardi uses the term "best tackle. That shows you there's so little consensus about who the best OT even is but yet the fish STILL want to pay the premium to move up 2 spots to get one. Color me amazed if that's true. They must have one they REALLY like above the others. Makes me think of the time BO'B traded a 6th to move up 1 or 2 slots in the first round when there were 3 pretty equally ranked wr's available and we were guaranteed one of them no matter what. People (including myself) b****ed and moaned about that one but he was proven right, even though Fuller is perpetually injured. There you go Bill, your only compliment your gonna get from me. Unless of course you knock this draft out of the park. Please prove me wrong!
Not really jerking him off just saying they paid fair value...it wasnt the overpay that everyone said it was when the trade was made.
Its not fair if it was a one year rental, we didnt even lock up tunsil up yet..... Like i said wait b4 jerking BoB off.
Does something not look askew here? LT is 3rd in pass blocking and T21st in run blocking but T21st overall as well. There's no way the numbers can add up like that.
No but it was STILL an overpay. Two 1st's and a 2nd is outrageous. Much more than the Raiders even got for K. Mack. And you can't offset the 2nd fully to Stills. When the Dolphins traded for him he was coming off a career year of a little under 1000 yards (931) and they got him for a 3rd. When we traded for him his last season was barely halfway to 1000 yards (553). That's 4th or 5th rd. draft value. If we can sign Tunsil and not give up more than 20mil pya I'll consider that a victory.
1 year rental? He is under contract for 2020 and they can franchise him in 2021 for much less than $20 million.
oh really my bad then, i keep hearing that they keep trying to sign him and have yet done anything. I guess it does looks like a good deal, but 2 first round pick to not extend his contract isnt good value if u really think about it.
Two firsts, a second and the right to make him the highest paid OL in NFL history ... with what appears (but time will tell) a good OT class. *Projected 1st/2nd round picks* JEDRICK WILLS JR. Alabama TRISTAN WIRFS Iowa MEKHI BECTON Louisville ANDREW THOMAS Georgia JOSH JONES Houston AUSTIN JACKSON USC EZRA CLEVELAND Boise State ISAIAH WILSON Georgia (and the Eagles jumping Houston last year)
You throw this out for both tunsil and Watson. You realize the goal is not to franchise them and that if we have to that’s a loss (in my opinion At least) especially if BOTH HAVE to be franchised...that means we’re effed
Franchise tag buys negotiation time. Watson wouldn't have to be franchise until 2022. Tunsil will be signed by this summer.
