U can spin it however u like. BoB says I've always been involved in personnel decisions, no more no less, if u want to ignore that and blame someone else that's up to u.
BoB said he was involved in personnel decisions, do we just ignore it then and blame someone else? Cause thats what u and other BoB defenders like doing
HE was involved in it, I wouldn't say solely. All im saying is everything when it comes to roster, cuts, trade. BoB had a role in it, he didn't just sit on his ass and closed his eyes until training camp start. BoB defenders like to blame others for the bad players that just somehow magically appeared onto BoB's team against his own will. Shtweiler? BoB was involved. Rankin, Davenport, and other bad players? BoB was involved Duane Brown? BoB was involved. Watson? BoB was involved. He's the HC there's no fking way that he wasn't involved in the creation of his own team.
That's fine. Don't have a stroke. Watson is by far the most important Texan at the moment... whoever was the main person who helped acquire him resolved a nearly 20 years drought of finding a franchise QB.
Finding a franchise qb, even if he was the main person doesn't absolved him for the other sht trades that he was involved w/ u know. The thing that truly absolve all sht decision/good decisions is winning it all. Don't really see that with BoB leading the way, but that's just my opinion.
Well, you can't win it all without a franchise QB... and yes, acquiring one is the most important acquisition one can make in the NFL.
yes we get that, getting a Qb is the most important acquisition one can make. But IT DOESNT ABSOLVE A PERSON or front office for the rest of the shtty transactions that occurred under that person/group's watch.
You ain’t got no Oline, you ain’t got a running or a passing game. Hyde is a good blocker too. I’d max protect Deshaun every play and let him make some good throws to fuller/Hopkins/stills
Plot twist. Dolphins turn Davenport into a starting caliber LT. Tunsil regresses under Devlin, they pay him anyway and he becomes the most overpaid lineman in the league. (ok, I'll try to be more positive now that the season is starting)
Worst case scenario. We would be giving away seriously high draft picks that would be the foundation for that rebuild. The only scenario that remotely works out is being one of the three or four best teams in the league for those years, not needing to add anything in order to compete for a Super Bowl.
You only have 9,000 posts, even if they were all about BOB or the Texans, those are rookie numbers for this forum you need to pump those numbers up this **** is important. Try to get to the master level at around 40,000 posts only about Bill O'Brien - that would put you as the second person to meet that benchmark on clutchfans.
I am neither a OBie hater nor a OBie defender. No that I (or you for that matter) have any insider information, but Duane Brown appears to had a beef with the owner. Brown got traded. I am assuming that the owner might have had way more to say about that than OBie. I would be very surprised if OBie said that he hated the guy, would not play him and get him off of the team. Especially since the Texans were playing a rookie QB and had no replacement lined up. The fact that the Texans did not have a replacement lined up is all on the GM. To be fair, acquiring a league average LT is damn hard ad expensive. Fast forward to this season, the Texans still did not have a a league average LT after FA and the draft. OBie can't be happy that his franchise QB will be running fo his life this year, like last. The GM gets fired. The owner must have agreed with OBie. Without a GM, OBie goes and gets a a league average LT at the market rate. This is what a HC having a strong say in personnel decisions looks like.
And that's not even factoring in Coutee. He was a stud when he was actually on the field last year. Now if Deshaun can find him on those quick routes across the middle, that will open up things even more for D-Hop, Will, and Stills. The offense honestly has potential to be a Top 5 offense in the league. It's just a matter of drawing up good, creative plays that take advantage of your personnel as well as Deshaun continuing to develop and get even better as a QB.
If Davenport is anything, that should let the Texans know about Devlin that everyone else already knows
