Finish out his contract? Gettin paid too much to just be that. He needs to be released after this season, imo.

    or run good routes

    or find spaces

or get separation even with his speed

or know not to fair catch a punt on the f***ing 5-yd line.

If I were running the FO, I'd absolutely go into this draft hoping to land a serious speed partner for AJ that would double as a return guy. As soon as I've got him in hand, cut Jacoby. Enough's enough with Kubiak's over-loyalty to guys that can't produce.

This move reeks of desperation, I am glad the team brought in someone though. You cannot get much worse that Jacoby last week.

Hopefully AJ is back within the next week or 2 and Mason becomes 3rd option at best behind aj and od.

I still think Walter is best as a slot guy, the texans just dont line up with 3wr very often.

I like Masons intangibles though, I hope he becomes a vocal leader on that offense, heaven knows we need it. AJ is more of the Timmy Duncan lead by example type.

Don't know why anyone would call this desperate or blow it off.

He's averaged 962 yards per season the last 6 seasons despite playing on a pretty badly designed offense.

No... desperation was the Cowboys completely overpaying for Roy Williams a few years ago.

This move was far from desperation.

it was a bad pass because JJ bailed on his initial move/show.

After the Panthers game, his production dropped. No question about it, Mason's jawing was behind it. Furthermore, both Mason and Heap were released in order to foster Flacco's growth into the leader of their offense.

The thinking behind those moves was that if you take away Flacco's security blankets, he would spread the ball around and put his own stamp on the offense.
