Good move, but we still need some help in the secondary. Wonder what would it take for us to pry Samuels from Philly?
Reminds me of when the Titans got Yancy Thigpen and Carl Pickens at the end of their careers, Wycheck still ended up catching 75-80 from the H-slot.
i love it. strange that he went from threatening retirement for several years to retiring and coming out of retirement to playing wherever he can. that said, he can still play. knows how to get open without relying on his speed. sadly instantly becomes the best #2 wr we've ever had. guy isn't going to get into the HOF, but he certainly has hall numbers.
My first thought as well. But obviously different scenario. No guaranteed money, no relevant pick going the other way, and no David Carr throwing the football. Although the last part may or may not be a good thing for fans if the Schaub debate thread is any indication. But we do need a receiver that doesn't totally suck in the worst way possible. And I think Mason at least doesn't totally suck. I think.
This is kind of like giving somebody a dime for a cigarette. I mean, sure, the dime isn't all that important, but hell neither is the cigarette.
great move to cover up if Andre misses more time and to upgrade over Jacoby.. without spending much (if anything)
I like it. We're just asking him to be the 4th option behing Andre, Foster, and OD. He's a big upgrade over Jacoby. That's what matters. He knows how to run an actual route.
Tell that to a guy who hasn't had a smoke in a while. Or rather, has been puffing on a turd like Jacoby Jones.
Love this move. Love it. Unless Mason is totally washed up and got there since last year, he is a great fit for Schaub. He runs his routes well and gets himself open. No, he can't create big plays. He's not going to beat his man down the field. If you get the ball to him though, he'll catch. He should be an outstanding safety net for Schaub.
