The Commish putting a hit on Billy? That's the toughest 3 game start to the season I can remember. Going to have to change my season prediction from 12-4, playoff loss in the division round, to 11-5 loss in the division round.
0-4 start might doom Bill O'Brien and force McNair to fire him. Let's go Chiefs, Ravens, Steelers, and Vikings! Who am I kidding, he will keep his job, go on a fake 4 game winning streak to end the season with that weak schedule, and get an extension.
First Thursday night game of the season is their “Sunday night - nbc appearance”. the second week will be the national game of week, 3pm time slot... first time in franchise history they get that exclusive game at home. (it’s much more exclusive than MNF). They also get one of the thanksgiving national games. I’ll take that over a bunch of MNF or NFL network fake national games.
That schedule is tough top to bottom, besides the bye week this schedule has no let up. Playing the chiefs, ravens, steelers early could be a good confidence booster if things fall into place. The chiefs have three tough games total, it could keep them fresh or make them soft. Same for the Texans, this is a character building schedule Bro there are 31 other teams, why poison yourself with spite?
Also, if you’re expecting the future injuries of Fuller and Cooks to have to miss time later, might as well play your toughest opponents on paper early... In the end, they have DW4. They’re going to win games regardless of circumstances.
Thought taking the over on 7.5 would’ve been easy money but that is an absolute brutal start. Season could be over early.
