    We may already have a closer we just need to wait for them to grow up. No group led by a bunch of 22 yr old has won a ring in the new NBA era, even the OKC KD team with 3 future mvp.

    Not to be a stickler, but this year is the 5th year on course to re-appear in the playoffs.

    2019-20 - Last appearance, also last year with D'antoni and Morey

    2020-21 - Silas and Stone (missed year 1)
    2021-22 - Silas and Stone (missed year 2)
    2022-23 - Silas and Stone (missed year 3)
    2023-24 - Udoka and Stone (missed year 4)
    2024-25 - Udoka and Stone ( on track year 5)

    Agree with sentiment that we're finally here, but Rocket fans have paid the wait time. (almost half a decade)

    Its not a long wait though if you look at similar teams that rebuilt from ground up 4 yrs is actually a short time.

    Tanking and aquiring and developing young talent for 3 years
    And developing young talent for a year
    Then 2nd seed 5th year

    We may not have "that guy"we might just have a big 3. Unless someone is at Jokic level I dont think one guy is good enough anymore.
