Jared Mayden, 4 star CB recruit, named TCU in his top 3 tonight, honestly, pretty suprising. Oregon and Ohio St are the other two, so tough competition.

Awesome news. Although I won't really believe anything till NSD....He'll look great in Purple and White though.
Yup. He'll be an Aggie. He's always wanted to play with Kyler Murray or Malik Jefferson by all accounts, and with him eliminating Texas (allegedly), he's A&M bound.
^^^^ Actually I take that back. This dude's all over the place. Probably will change his mind a couple times before Wednesday. Who knows. I think he'll end up at A&M where he originally started.
He's one of the most unpredictable recruits, wouldn't be surprised if he still ends up at UT. But I've been hearing some good stuff for TCU, so we'll see, at this point, just wait for his announcement (I believe noon CT on Wednesday on ESPNU)
Check out the responses to Daylon's tweet this morning in addition to Kelsey Patterson's (Gary's wife....kels_patterson) tweet last night. Rumor$ are running rampant.
What's going on at TCu? Helleva year and located in the Dallas Metroplex, so why is Tech out recruiting you?
When it comes to recruiting for certain schools and coaches, it's best to ignore the rankings. Gary Patterson could probably coach up my dog to be a good middle linebacker. I will trust his ability to evaluate talent and get it to win over the Tech staff or the vast majority of coaching staffs in the country.
Rivals has TCUs class ranked about Techs class so not even sure if your statement is true. Most of the kids in this class committed to TCU after TCU came off a 4-8 season and have been loyal throughout the process, exactly the kinds of kids GP wants to have. The 2016 class already has 4 players committed ranked in the top 12 of their respective positions and the class is #3 nationally right now, that's where you will see the biggest boost from this season. Most of the recruits are from the DFW area where the staff has excelled at in developing talent.
Recruits have known, it's been in the plans. The timing was to prevent negative recruiting from other schools regarding defensive commits. He wasn't overly involved in this recruiting cycle either, I know he went to the Mack in home visit but overall was way less involved than you would expect from a DC.
Exactly. He's not driving all over the south visiting recruits, putting in 18 hour days, etc. From a play calling perspective, we should be okay as Bumpas only calls the defensive line signals. GPatt handles the back seven. Also - here's a nice summary of what Gary can do with all of his 3 star recruits. Tenn. and UNC can win signing day every year, i'll take winning in the fall. http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/after-signing-day-wisconsin-makes-the-best-of-its-recruits/
Patterson is the true DC. Loved Bumpas (though not his hounds) but it would almost be like Kubiak losing an OC.
Trill officially at TCU: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Kenny "Trill" Hill is starting classes at TCU and plans to join the football squad. <a href="http://t.co/wWLq6y3Xa9">http://t.co/wWLq6y3Xa9</a> <a href="http://t.co/NjOpmdHxlk">pic.twitter.com/NjOpmdHxlk</a></p>— Sporting News (@sportingnews) <a href="https://twitter.com/sportingnews/status/601750880732381186">May 22, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Maybe he'll give himself another new nickname after the first game he starts next year? Where did Dawson go in the draft? I really, really liked watching him play LB. What about the CB, Kevin White?
