The glass-half-full view says Eason and DFS are very good trade deadline acquisitions.

Does that mean Holiday is taking his minutes? I saw enough of him last night to last the rest of the season.

Wow Tari really should've taken that bag... This may mean some other team throws big money at him on a long shot, but no way he's getting great money from a contender now.

    Ughhhh

Rockets wing Tari Eason (strained oblique) will miss 4-6 weeks.

What does this mean for the lineup moving forward?

Provided the projected timeline is accurate and he stays healthy after he comes back, I'm actually not sure this impacts his next contract as much as some of y'all are saying, since it doesn't appear to be a chronic issue or have anything to do with his previously-busted leg. It may be another bullet point on the "struggles to stay healthy" list, but I'd guess most front offices would view it as a fairly minor one.

If anything, it may make us less likely to trade him than before, since he won't have time to build a large sample size proving his improved shooting prior to the trade deadline.

I remember when gravy used to be a good thing. Damn. Maybe it's just precautionary. Could've used him in a few upcoming games within the next month where we play some heavy-hitter/good teams.

Oblique? He should get a genetic test for hereditary Connective tissue disorders, because he's way too young to be having these issues. Keep it private tho, lol. DFS where are you? Crawford, here's your chance...

You don't see it in basketball all that much, mostly baseball (and it will pretty much completely screw up the rest of your season)

Never really had a serious one but I've broken ribs and I imagine the discomfort-level is pretty similar

Let's hope he heals fast, didn't look all that serious, but sometimes the angle is a problem.

We have depth, no need to trade or do anything.....just next man up.

Damn, tough loss. More minutes to Okogie and Sheppard but we need his length and craftiness.

An oblique...6 weeks. Like it or not, this is Tari. There's the leg, and everything else. Unfortunately, I don't see him playing more than 50 games/yr. Get him healthy and playing well...then move him in the right deal. We can't afford no b2b, not knowing when we can count on him, as well as the threat of longterm or career ending injury. Manage the downside risk.
