Tari is a clap, clap, clap play harder player. If you’re rolling the ball on the court and saying play he is your best option.
Okogie comes up big on hustle plays quite frequently and is an absolute beast on the defensive end. If his 3 pt shooting wasn’t a marage he’d be playing a much bigger role. Right now he is a valuable defensive stopper off the bench. Great value for 2.2m a year.
Tari is critical to us being competitive this year. He is our most reliable 3 point shooter and it looks to be a permanent skill in my opinion. If we do trade him it is because of injury and contract concerns. If we do trade him, we have to get a reliable 3 point shooter in return or we are punting the season.
Tari is our new PJ Tucker....that is his role, that is what he does well.....just a little different in that he is a much better rebounder. DD
Okogie is our new PJ Tucker. Cardio for 25 minutes. That’s his role & what he does well. Tari is an agent of chaos and you accept the chaos when it’s good and accept the chaos when it’s bad. (Going 1 on 3, missed layups/putbacks, throwing it directly to the other team, dumb wtf fouls)
Tari's rough offense "creation", even with lesser 3pt %, is still better than what Okogie or DFS brings on offense. Its already a changing league than PJ Tucker on MDA Rockets. 2019 Rockets had 6 players averaging over 10 ppg. 4 players over 15 PPG Harden (Harden that absurd 34 PPG) That was plenty enough scoring, for a zero-O intangibles starter Current Rockets also 6 players over 10 ppg, including Tari. 3 players over 18 PPG. But Rockets cant generate enough offense. It's not just about "scoring itself". Its needing that extra player to be a legit scoring threat. Tari at least puts pressure on the d, to kinda add variance to things
