That is what he said when he stated that SA is too old- geezers are too old. The others said "u said that about them last yr ha ha". Then he said my opinion/don't mean I'm rt. TNT is a joke. Especially that disgustingly and awkwardly fat ass Bargely.
All teams have done that... Like colleges paying their players.. Most teams do it quietly, but some teams think other wise... T_Man
People just don't get Shaq's sense of humor... he has strong takes and puts DH down at times... (as he put it) he's tough on DH as his forefathers were with him
Name one industry which is upfront about everything. In every industry, there are things which the public is not made aware of. I have a hard time believing, that LEGENDARY players like Tim Duncan, and Dirk Nowitzki are actually taking a "pay-cut" to continue playing for the same team. This is their last few years of make money from playing basketball. Of course they would all want to get the MAX amount of money they can. It is their career! If Cuban won't pay Dirk, a legend, more money than Parsons, Dirk would go to one of the other teams that would pay him his actual worth. In my opinion, these players are obviously promised money that is not included in their contract.
Barkley was not the reason we lost to the Lakers, it was Pippen. He got owned by Kobe. http://www.basketball-reference.com/playoffs/NBA_1999_WC1.html#LAL-HOU
Tota Shoo Per Rk Player Age G GS MP FG FGA 3P 3PA FT FTA ORB DRB TRB AST STL BLK TOV PF PTS FG% 3P% FT% MP PTS TRB AST STL BLK 1 Charles Barkley 35 4 4 157 36 68 2 7 20 30 13 42 55 15 6 2 8 12 94 .529 .286 .667 39.3 23.5 13.8 3.8 1.5 0.5 2 Scottie Pippen 33 4 4 172 23 70 6 22 21 26 20 27 47 22 7 3 13 13 73 .329 .273 .808 43.0 18.3 11.8 5.5 1.8 0.8 3 Hakeem Olajuwon 36 4 4 123 23 54 0 0 7 8 5 24 29 2 5 3 5 18 53 .426 .875 30.8 13.3 7.3 0.5 1.3 0.8 4 Sam Mack 28 4 0 123 13 38 10 26 14 17 1 8 9 7 4 0 5 11 50 .342 .385 .824 30.8 12.5 2.3 1.8 1.0 0.0 5 Brent Price 30 4 0 98 11 24 5 14 6 6 3 5 8 14 4 1 6 5 33 .458 .357 1.000 24.5 8.3 2.0 3.5 1.0 0.3 6 Cuttino Mobley 23 4 4 94 7 15 4 7 10 11 0 4 4 11 2 0 5 11 28 .467 .571 .909 23.5 7.0 1.0 2.8 0.5 0.0 7 Othella Harrington 25 4 0 42 9 14 0 0 4 6 5 9 14 1 0 1 3 2 22 .643 .667 10.5 5.5 3.5 0.3 0.0 0.3 8 Michael Dickerson 23 4 4 82 6 22 3 8 2 4 2 2 4 3 2 3 2 8 17 .273 .375 .500 20.5 4.3 1.0 0.8 0.5 0.8 9 Antoine Carr 37 4 0 37 4 11 0 0 0 0 3 4 7 4 0 1 4 19 8 .364 9.3 2.0 1.8 1.0 0.0 0.3 10 Matt Bullard 31 2 0 8 2 2 1 1 2 2 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 7 1.000 1.000 1.000 4.0 3.5 0.0 0.5 0.0 0.0 11 Bryce Drew 24 1 0 4 1 1 0 0 0 2 1 2 3 2 0 0 0 1 2 1.000 .000 4.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 0.0 0.0 12 Stanley Roberts 28 3 0 20 0 6 0 0 1 2 0 3 3 0 0 4 0 5 1 .000 .500 6.7 0.3 1.0 0.0 0.0 1.3 Team Totals 4 960 135 325 31 85 87 114 53 130 183 82 30 18 51 105 388 .415 .365 .763 240.0 97.0 45.8 20.5 7.5 4.5

Wow Tad really bending over backwards to get freaking Charles Barkley to be 'nice' to the Rockets...sad
People in this thread are so whiny. Stop projecting your own inferiority complexes onto this. It's okay that you never got enough attention. Shaq does not go out of his way to bash the Rockets. He says a lot of stuff about Dwight. All of which is valid in my opinion. He doesn't even sound like he's saying it in a malicious way. Additionally, when Dwight was dominating Lopez in a few games in last year's playoffs, Shaq was the first to be like "see I told you dwight could do that!" Barkley has mentioned about 50 times on air that the Rockets owe him money. His opinions are usually bad in general, not just about the Rockets. Though he obviously has bias against the Rockets. Who cares. He's always wrong about every team. Every season he has 2-3 pet teams and rides their jock. Watch it consistently and you'll notice this. In fact the team that Chuck ****s on the most this season is New York. There goes that media bias. The show is there for entertainment value. It's not real analysis except for maybe 1-2 segments. It's enjoyable and mostly entertaining because of the stories they share. Stop taking it so seriously you whiners. And then there's the conspiracy theorists about Les promising money under the table. Sorry, your arguments are just bad. That's a really serious offense. And as vocal as Chuck has been about how Les owes him money, something would have come out of the league by now. Les is a smart businessman with a horde of lawyers much more intelligent than most of you. It's dumb to speculate about that. Les would have been outed long ago.
Inside the NBA is not in the same regulation setting as ESPN or even NBA TV. They are allowed to have biases and be off base because Chuck is not really qualified for analytics. Only guy you need listen to for real basketball knowledge is Kenny Smith and certain guest hosts.
I liked the show better before Shaq, he serves no purpose because you already have Charles. It was better when they had guest analyst like Webber or Grant Hill
Off Topic: I always thought Thorpe was traded before the '95 championship year. But he's there on the roster.. I just remember him playing a significant role. Or is that a Basketball Reference mistype? Was Thorpe even a Rocket come the 94-95 season?
Well right now we are third place in the west looking to keep gaining more room as we move up just like Charles Barkley's weight.
Guys, we know what this is. It was that he didn't like his treatment when the Rockets gave the reigns to the kids. Feigen wrote the story about him an Jim Boylen having a long discussion about it, and I posted a thread here about the owner of Kinneally's telling me that the conversation happened at his bar, and Barkley was so upset (even while drinking beers at the bar) that they gave them the back room and closed the door. Anyone remember the "headphone in the lockerroom" quote. He didn't like Rudy giving the reigns to Francis, Mobley, Moochie and Cato And then he tore his quad a few weeks later. So that was it. Hakeem also got pissed with the changing of the guard. right?
For years, I've always thought Barkley had some personal issues when it came to the Rockets. Even during the All-Star Games that were here, you knew he didn't enjoy being here. However, I can't deny that the show is very entertaining. Barkley has been proven wrong many times, including last year picking the Heat to win the 2014 Finals. Just 'cause he gives opinion doesn't mean he's always right, but it's a whole lot better than the garbage that's being spewed out of Shaq's mouth. Good lord.
For those who worry, next Thursday we will have another one on TNT and guess what: we are on a back-to-back and the Thunder will have not played since last Friday. When does that happen, a team getting 5 days off?? Hope it will turn out in our favour, but the league obviously tried to screw the Rockets here!!!!
