f4p- Same here. I had to think pretty hard for examples of players getting extensions under the new CBA there were. Basically, it can only be the HS players- they're the only ones young enough to get the 7 year max contract, and still be young enough to make it worthwhile to get a max extension on top of it. McGrady's going to just turn 32 when his contract's done. We get him for his absolute prime, and then look at a guy like Brent Barry signing for 4 more years at the same age, and Fisher signing for 6 years at age 30. Pretty unbelievable, considering some of the numbers he's already put up in his career. (Can you tell I much prefer these threads to some of the other drivel?)
