I created this league several weeks ago and finally decided to give it a go. It'll be just a basic league setup unlike the crazy settings of the baseball leagues I've been running. I run a pretty tight ship. Absolutely no shenanigans allowed in any of the leagues I run.

It'll be 12 teams with 6 playoff teams for weeks 14-16. Don't you hate when leagues finish up playoffs during week 17 when some of the best players will be sitting most of the game? There will be none of that crazy stuff in this league.

I'll also be using performance settings for offensive players. No more being outscored by a TD leeching fullback when your running back nets 100 yards rushing without scoring a td. Though, td's are still worth their usual 6 pts.

The league info is posted below. The live draft is tentatively scheduled for Monday, September 4th at 11:30 am. Thank you and good luck.

The response has been overwhelming...ok, maybe not, but I'm not going to give up so easily.

Join up folks. Please don't make me bump my own thread 20 times. ;)

    Thanks!

Looks like we need 9 more people till we are full. As a last resort I will make it public, but hopefully that won't be needed.

Last call. 6 spots left in the league. I'm going public in a few hours and the spots go fast after that.

    Thanks and good luck.

This was a peculiar draft for me. Chad Johnson, Rudi Johnson and Carson Palmer. Also, Todd Heap, Jamal Lewis and Baltimore Defense.

    Go Bengals and Ravens.

I made it a point to have extra roster spots. I think it sucks having to drop players for bye weeks.

Those are 3 first round picks you came away with. Not sure how we let you get all those guys. I got stuck in the 11th draft position and ended up with 2 mediocre running backs. :( I probably should have taken Palmer with 1 of those picks.

Then I lose that one week and maintain a strong advantage for the other games in the season. Or, I get real lucky and win the week despite having my top players on bye.

Dilute your strength throughout the whole season or bite the bullet for one week. There are pros and cons for each situation.
