http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/gen/wire?messageId=19025062 Texans center out 2-to-4 weeks HOUSTON (AP) _ Houston Texans starting center Steve McKinney injured his left knee during Wednesday morning's practice and will be out 2-to-4 weeks, according to team doctors. McKinney sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee during the team's practice with the Denver Broncos. The 6-foot-6, 301-pound McKinney had already missed most of training camp with a strained groin. I think it's time to coax Bruce Matthews out of retirement.
F**K!!! He's our leader on the line. Our line is gotta be messed up without him. This is very bad! I know he'll miss only the preseason if he doesn't injur it anymore, but he needs to be practicing with the young guys and getting accustomed to each other when it doesn't count. Man, I'm going to the Broncos game and it seems like David Carr is already gonna be gettin taken down a lot - NOT GOOD! He's so good, he doesn't need to be taking all that punishment and being thrown to the ground... We could get a lot better later, but now's a good time to think about trading Henson's rights for a good O-lineman, we are in serious need of one. It'll only be so long before Carr is hit really hard, and we don't need our young, franchise QB going down with a bad injury.
He'll be back by the regular season. In the mean time, Washington will be serviceable during the preseason games.
