Where's all the people who said this would be a bad idea? Capela had 15 rebounds. So where's the "this will be a bad chemistry between the two"?
Faried needs to continue to start at PF. Tucker is not a PF. Tucker has some of his better games against the Warriors though.
I love this! I had some major haters saying this would never work on my thread. It seems they are all gone now.
I had the same responses too. Back when Faried just started playing for the Rockets I was saying he should play at the 4 when Capela returns. These people were calling me an idiot. Now they're the ones looking like one. I knew Faried will work playing at the 4 because that's his natural position.
Well there will always be haters my man! Just gotta filter them out. Yes it is his natural position, people forgetting he is 6”8 and only 215-220. He ain’t no fulltime center lol.
The league has moved to 3 point shooting. I wasn't down on the idea, but I don't blame people for thinking it wouldn't work. Faried was solid from the 3 point line, but it was his ability to get his own shot from the top of the key I don't think anyone thought he could do and be effective. His rebounding was god send. Rockets win because of the rebounding from all the bigs. Clint and Faried on the boards was relentless.
Man, some of y'all ragged on this ... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php...e-after-the-break.296408/page-3#post-12228459
Without House, Kenneth Faried is probably the only acquisition Morey's made this year that panned out. If House can come back, we are actually set at SF with Tucker, House, and Shumpert. Tucker should not play another minute at starting PF, and Gordon should not play another minute at SF. House can play the 3 and 4 to backup Faried/Tucker.
I'm certainly warming to the idea of trying it. Still don't love the idea of 2 non shooters, but given our lack of options it's at least worth a try. If Faried can actually start hitting a competitive amount of 3's it would be a game changer.
Rivers was a good pickup. He really held up while cp3 and Gordon were both out. He’s a good man defender he doesn’t turn the ball over. Can playmake and take the back up court and start offense to give cp3 and James a breather can get to the rim. Only negative is his three point shooting has been bad for a month now. I’d like to see him only shoot the three on catches no more dribble pull ups. He’s just it that caliber of shooter like even Gerald Green or EG when taking those type or shots.
Rivers started off well but has fallen off HARD. His PER is now below 8.00. That's below replacement level bad. We are now seeing why the Wizards cut him. Thankfully with Shumpert coming back we'll see even less of him.
If we do indeed keep faried as starting power forward then Gordon will move back to 6th man so Rivers minutes will decrease slightly, on top of Shumps acquisition.
That double screen was great tonight, kinda reminded me when luc was here last year and it worked most of the times
