Star Wars: Rogue One

Looks incredible! I love the darker tone.

 

Not to me. It looks better than episode 7. This one looks like it's somewhat its own movie.

 

I liked it -- I knew Vader's breath was coming at the end, but it was still awesome.

 

That was kind of lame IMO. Why cut off the breath? Just really, really poorly edited.

 

Meh. Donnie Yen is put in the film to kick some ass, I don't want to hear him talk? What is this a talkie?

 

I must be getting immune to Star Wars trailers. That didn't do much for me.

 

Female lead for all Star Wars movies?

Seems like they are forcing the Female/Diversity train a bit much...

But I am curious if that robot is Sonny from I, robot. And the revolution is now complete.

 

Seems we always get "meh" for trailers, and then the movie turns out pretty darned good.

I remember all the "Dark Knight" trailers: "Meh!" said the audience.

Maybe they don't want to give away everything? Maybe they have four months to finish the movie so have only so much to reveal?

I think reading this thread earlier about the reshoots left me not expecting much but the trailer was really good. Pretty excited for the release.

 

Seriously. Men have gotten to be protagonists for the mast majority of film. It's ok to have women take the lead for a change.

Well, the one about Han Solo...I don't think they will use a female lead. Maybe transgender?

 

I actually like the 1st trailer better. Had more dread and urgency. Really well done.

BUT, some great imagery in the 2nd trailer. I think my favorite scene was the troops on the ground shooting the rocket launcher at the AT-AT.

What happened to our original Star Wars where the universe was a WHITE MAN'S UNIVERSE! A world that made us believe all non white people evolved into the aliens and creatures you see in the films.

Where Japanese evolved into sissy evil Aliens with the same goofy accent:

Where Jews evolved into big hooked nose, greedy and selfish creatures:

Where Black people evolved into loud mouthed, Pidgin English speaking, bumbling creatures:

There was maybe 1 or 2 non white people for a split second in A New Hope and now were to believe the Death Star plans were stolen by a bunch of Mexican, Asian and Black guys following a white woman leader? There's even a Pakistani terrorist. That doesn't sound like a happy story. That sounds like GANG RAPE.

The only thing that makes sense is that there weren't any non whites in A New Hope because they all died in Rogue One. Sent to their doom in Operation Human Shield.
