    Yes please. Forget 1 month of interviewing 15 coaches the likes of delnegro and d'antoni.
    Lets go and get vogel fast. There are two more available positions right now.

    How about a duo of Vogel and JVG both head coaches? :grin:

    Maybe we will go from one of the worst defenses to all time great defense.

    So, how many teams (other than the Pacers) are looking for a coach as today? Rockets, Kings, Knicks, Sixers...?

    Bret Brown is still coach of the Sixers.
    Stotts hasn't been resigned yet with the Blazers but is clearly expected to.
    Budenholzer's contract is up with the Hawks, but because he has GM/coach duties it is assumed he stays.

    That's pretty promising. I'd say we're in a better spot for a coach than the Knicks (less media pressure here, not having to deal with the shadow and meddling hand of Phil Jackson, not having to deal with the headache that is Melo, not having to deal with James Dolan). And obviously, I don't think anyone wants that Kings job, especially if Boogie gets traded.

    Vogel is from the New Jersey area. Not sure if that sways him to go to NY.

    In 1994, Vogel transferred to the University of Kentucky. Vogel served as student manager for the Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball team then coached by Rick Pitino in the 1994–95 season. The following season, Pitino resurrected the junior varsity Kentucky basketball team and Vogel played for them.[6][7] Vogel graduated from Kentucky with a B.S. in biology in 1998.[1][7]

    Vogel began his career as the head video coordinator for the Boston Celtics under head coach Rick Pitino.

    Who else has Pitino mentored?

    You need a coach to embrace the numbers, but still use his/her system along side them to prosper. Someone who is not analytics friendly would give us a system akin to the Lakers. If you want to be the LA Lakers, go right ahead. The coach has to know when to trust the numbers and when not to. Straight opposition to analytics is destructive.

    Blazers have an option to pick up his contract for another year. They have not done so, but are expected to. I should have clarified.

    preach it. i don't know about the Euro ball guy Messina but the only 2 decent options i've heard are Vogel and JVG. Both would promise to lead us to a strong defense. the milestone of "he won't help us beat the warriors" is ridiculous.

    What available coach will help us beat the f__king warriors ?!

    Really hope this is true. Im ready to get this coaching search over with!

    Side note: Wondering JVG will ever get another shot at coaching if he doesn't get this job. No one else really makes sense for him at this point.
