If they do match I wonder how much he will even play? He's not in game shape and certainly not in MDA team shape. It took Capela a while to get there and he had an entire off season and camp. He will also have to learn the entire offensive and defensive schemes. Plus guys like Sam, Trez and Nene have been playing well so do you really force them out of the rotation? On top of all that we don't even know if the dude can play. He looked terrible last year
Dont you think we would have heard reports of this happening ? Also at some point isnt it more valuable to match and get him into team meetings and video sessions and working with the coaches. I still think the longer it drags on the less likely a match is
Strategically. U wait till the last min. Because it gives you the most options. Doesn't mean no or yes. I think they know what they want to do. They are trying the best way to do it with minimal impact.
My guess is if they don't announce it before the start of the Celtics game tomorrow, they probably aren't doing it.

I understand this. But at what point is trying to take a taker for bobby brown, wiltjer, or ennis a likely possibility? Teams know that we are going to cut one anyways if we want dmo. Also there's a tradeoff cost or not having dmo officially with the team. Arent there practices? team meeings ? tape sessions ? The earlier you can bring him in the better. Maybe DM is trying to work something big like unloading brewer or multiple pieces but this doesnt seem like the right time for a BIG shake-up. integrating 1 piece at a time is tricky enough.
I still haven't been able to find a legitimate reason why the Rockets shouldn't match the Nets' offer sheet, but the longer it goes without being matched, the more I start to think that they won't. For sure we'll know tomorrow before the game.
Well, we do have an imbalanced roster with a ton of big men and not enough guards. That could be one reason. Actually just kidding, I always forget KJ is on this team lolol
