He is actually a solid shot blocker for someone with massive defensive deficiencies.

    Soft.

    Pass.

These soft players hurt their own team the most in playoffs.

He'd be a great backup big for us but why would Lakers waive Lopez? They don't even have their own 1st rounder.

Besides, the Cavs would pounce on that if he was going to sign for the vet min.

I'd take Brook Lopez for a backup. Would be another weapon to add to our arsenal

This is precisely what the Lakers did with Lou Williams. Magic doing a solid for Lou in getting him to Houston and getting good with agents.

nene and black are good enough to backup center. nene's too good to b ea bench warmer. black would be waived or traded.

which player do you think would be a better fit?
    For me
    Brook Lopez
    Tyson Chandler
    Bogut

I would prefer Brook but any of those three would be good.

I'd prefer Tyson....I haven't seen how he's played lately but he's got more of the toughness and grit that I think this team needs more of. Brook would be purely an offensive option which is good too, but he's soft. Between the two I prefer Tyson for personality and character purposes. Hate Bogut.....would feel dirty watching games with him on the floor in a rockets uni.

Do we really need another volume bad 3 point shooter to complement Toyota Center Ryno?

Lopez' .315 drain rate would make him the Rockets worst deep-shooting rotation player easily.

He's also a terrible rebounder, IIRC.

    In Morey I trust.

Just get Nene some rest, and hope he's as awesome this coming playoffs as he was in last season's playoffs.

I'd love this. I also hear that Nerlens is pushing for a buyout and I wouldn't mind seeing if he can bring a lot of what Capela does in a back up role. I feel like he could potentially thrive with Harden and Paul passing to him.
