Glen Taylor: "Come on.......at least make an offer? He's from the Houston area, for God's sake." Tillman: "Do you know how much of my s***ty restaurant food I'd have to sell to afford him? Did you know we were using water from car batteries to flavor Landry's gumbo? Do you know how much I'd have to hike ticket prices at Toyota Center? Can't do it, even if it would get CarlHerrera off my back."
I would not want my owner starting my trade conversations. Daryl: What happened. Tilman: It was so cool. Dolan and I got into a bidding war, and I won, and we keep PJ. It's Eric, our next 3 first round picks, and Bitmain just deposited our full $10m cash considerations into his AntPool account. That was Patrick's idea. Dolan stopped at $5m...haha... Daryl: [facepalm] Patitta: ["Fertitta's rule" chant in the background!] Secretary: Mr. Morey. Excuse me. Your Commissioner phone is ringing.
Cyberx how would your rank potential landing spots for Butler? Who do you think has the best chance of landing him?
I sort of agree. I wonder if adding Butler would just be too much especially with Melo around...and both on one year deals? Sounds like a risky situation to me. It's okay to have one bad locker room guy or one guy that as you say checks out...but two? Also, Butler's list of preferred teams strikes me that the guy isn't going to want to be 4th option...which...on a team with Harden, CP3, and Melo, he'd be. It would be great if he came here and bought into the team completely like say Klay Thompson and takes pride in just being a defender that's going to hit his open shots but I have a feeling that Butler just ain't that guy. He wants a starring role and we are fresh out of those. I hope he goes to the Knicks, one less Western team to worry about and I wouldn't mind the Knicks being relevant again, those fans have suffered long enough.
if i was Butler, I'd be upset too if Melo was a higher option despite being a lesser player I think the rockets organization is smarter than that though and Butler would be more involved offensively than melo
Terry Pluto wrote a book on the early days of the ABA. He tells a story of an owner trying to save money by not taking the GM to the dispersal draft. It was a surprise to the GM and after the owner returned, GM states he really needed to be at that sort of event. Owner says "I don't know why you are complaining, I got the first five guys on your list". GM responds "that list was in alphabetical order".
tbh I dont use steak sauce often but at like an Ihop i get their dry ass steak and need a sauce- try the Heinz steak sauce! Not Heinz sauce, Heinz STEAK sauce. Its different. It doesnt have the tang of A1, I really enjoy it when its reasonable.
