    I guess this is what I get for going with a smaller electricity provider....

    But man, this has been a pain in the ass. Tried to schedule a disconnect of my electricity since I'm moving but their systems were down (called originally on Tuesday). Tried again today, rep told me they are still down....and they need at least 3 days in advance of the shut off order. I'm moving this weekend.

    I'm hoping my current apartment peeps don't put the AC at 50 or so when they come to paint / clean.

    First Choice Power.....

    Reliant. Call them and tell them what other companies are offering and they'll match or beat it. Don't go off the powertochoose rates with Reliant or you'll be paying more than you should.

    Damn, I just transferred my service online without speaking to someone. I'm moving in 2 weeks though. Reliant is good

    Yeah, i went off power to choose. But compared the going rate for 500, 1000+ usage.

    Ended up going with something called TriEagle for my new place in H-town.

    I just went to the apartment to sign the lease.

    I just found out that they use two companies in the apartment --- Ambit and Green Mountain Energy.

    Which one is better?
