I would love to find people capable of debating based on the facts, rather than throwing a picture of a kid in detention hall (because of his parents negligence) and abusing Trump. I don't like trump either, but there's nothing I can do about a billionaire megalomaniac who has never had to answer to anyone. What I do see are effective policies being enacted to curtail real issues. There's alot of finger pointing by people who refuse to take accountability for their own actions, or the actions of those on "their side of the argument".
Accountability and adult responsibility are clearly not a part of Latin American culture - Latin Americans need to address this issue or they will cause themselves far too much pain. The kids have a superior living condition in the camps despite their parents irresponsibility - air conditioning, food, clean beds - things they wouldn't have if they lived illegally. Enrique Nieto needs to grow a spine and address these problems with the hundreds of thousands of his citizens who come over illegally with kids.

An arm for an arm does not heal the world. We have always known that people born into billions can do things people born into nothing cannot. Why pretend like we are equal in this regard? Are you perfectly fine with the idea that if somebody is poor, that person does not have a right to find more comfortable ways of living? Why would we think that they are expecting the best? I can't think of any reason why a whole family would prefer to go live in a different place where they mostly can't speak the language, no money, little education, no papers, which can get them legally employed - other than wanting to SURVIVE. If you wanna go back through history, humans, just like any social creature has relied upon the community for survival. I don't find trump, Bush or any of the Clinton's to be moral. They are power hungry politicians , and their morals vary according to what situation they are in. People care about the $ they generate, not morals! You cannot pretend like nation boundaries do not exist and the most powerful nation in the world is lawless. Thise being detained have shown no ability to breed responsibly and repeatedly risk their lives so the kids can be us citizens. Is this selfish or for the community? When you make poor decisions, you compromise the community. America is not the only country in the world , and it certainly doesn't guarantee them the best life picking oranges until they cant move anymore. How is the wealthiest, most liberal man in the world Jeff Bezos treating legal citizens of the US? Its global capitalism and it requires there to be a boundary between the haves and have nots. Socialism hasn't worked without brutality and incompetence. You need proper channels to go through or the whole system collapses. I've asked for answers about occupational trades for illegal immigrants and their kids. Would it be beneficial to legalize and use them for low cost labor? Are they taking away any jobs legal citizens desire? Or are they solely being exploited. The poor should have all the opportunity to rise.. but you have to make sacrifices. You have to change the mentality of having as many kids as possible to seem prosperous and happy, because they crumble under that weight + hurt the overall community. We have finite resources. This would also strengthen the economies of third world nations that the migrants come from. Allow them to organize and use that peace of mind to make smarter decisions. I am a child of blue collar parents who made these decisions and I benefitted as a result.
