Already had my new years on this side of the globe around 11 hours ago. It was lame, lots of delicious bbq, but pretty lame besides that.
I waited outside in the cold Monday night for the Wizards game and have been sick since. Got the RPD calendar signed so I'm still feeling it was worth it.
Wife and I went to New Orleans for a few days earlier this week and just decided to stay home with the kids.
Too many drunk drivers out there and Houston is not a 'walking' city at all. If it was I would be out somewhere. The only time any of you walk anywhere is to go check your mail. Alas, I'm at home with all my family and we're about to shoot some fireworks in a bit!
Because there are alot of idiots out on the road. I like to call this night "amateur night". Stay safe, lots of drunk boys on the road.
According to Rasmussen, 69% of Americans stay home on NYE. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/pub...ricans_will_be_doing_to_bring_in_the_new_year
I've burned bridges with the few nightlife contacts I have (Or they burned them with me actually. Note: Try to make friends with people OUTSIDE OF WORK!). Everyone else has to work. Plus a health issue has me eating no sweets, no junk food, no alcohol (self imposed). Now my cell phone broke and I don't have a new one yet, so no contact with anyone. I'm just stranded alone. Still 9:30 here on the west coast, thinking about cheating the alcohol restriction
I think he's dying to die. Dude is not doing well. Is it just me or do these NYE shows just get worse and worse? Reba? New Kids on the Block WITH Backstreet Boys? What the hell is a Travie McCoy? I was watching everyone sing along with a song I've never heard of before from an artist I had no idea existed. Then again, maybe these shows have always been this bad and I just never watched anything more than the 2 minutes leading up to midnight before going back to doing whatever it was I was doing before.
