I read about Arizona not celebrating daylight savings time as a highlight of things to do in Arizona as seen in the official tourist guide to the state.
I'd trade an extra hour of sleep for more sunlight... in a second. You really only notice the extra hour the first day.... and for most people, sleeping in on a Sunday doesn't mean all that much.
DST actually refers to the "spring forward" aspect (which I'm guessing most of us love due to the extra sunlight). Not the "goind back". Essentially, we are just going back to "normal" time now.... even though we spend only 1/3rds of the year at this level.
After work, the government wants us to go home and save our money. Money is poured into the economy by the Federal Reserve before the holiday season. The Government wants people to spend their money on gifts (that we buy from corporations who pay the most taxes). The rest of our money we save is to remind us we make a lot of money (but we don't, only this time of year we do) and that we should pay our taxes.
Soon we won't need our AC. We will need the heater, which is worse. It hurts us in Winter, and it kills us in Summer time.

i want my hour and my sunlight back. I'd like to be able to get out of my car by the time i get home from work without having to look for my house keys under the porch light.
