Yes, that's the first thing I really noticed. I haven't seen arm-side run like that from him often, but if he can master that...holy crap.
So what happened last season? He's throwing just as hard now, but still not as hard as '15. (or is he throwing like '15) Best beard in town
Changeup with fade. Just nasty, acted like a scewball, I wonder what his grip on that is (I'm assuming he has 2 changeups).
His control simply wasn't there. Instead of pounding the corner and staying low his pitches were drifting, and he was paying for it. http://www.espn.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/79425/dallas-keuchel-is-good-again-and-heres-why
That and he was hurt, and like a typical stubborn, borderline stupid pitcher, he just wanted to throw through it. That always works out well. Was it Snydergaard who refused an MRI a couple of weeks ago, went back out, and is now done for the year?
He's good but he has an unsustainably high strand rate so far (was something around 98% for a while), and if he's not getting swings or favorable strike calls on the bottom part of the zone he has some serious problems. That said, he's still really damn good.
