It seems highly unlikely barring injury that LA would lose 3 more games to close out the season playing the Mavs, Warriors, Jazz, Suns and OKC....and lets not forget Houston would have to win out against the Jazz, Warriors, Suns, 76ers, TWolves, and Griz to make that possible and while they have the talent to do that - they have also been a .500 team the last month and even the games they have won have been less impressive like a 6pt win against the last 7 guys not injured on the Bucks(with only one NBA starter on the floor). Honestly screw the 3rd seed - Houston needs to work on themselves and focus on figuring out how to play together better and come together over the next two weeks. The 3rd seed matchup is a distraction and isn't going to save them if they are barely playing as a team, and have a bottom 10 offense and defense(like they have had over much of March). Seeding doesn't matter if your team is falling apart.
Lebron has taken this year in stride by playing sparingly with Doncic running the show. He would be ready to score 30+ if need be in any playoff game this season.
I don't think the Lakers will be 3rd. Hard to imagine them winning without Luka because his offensive production was powering that whole team. They play OKC again, Warriors (Curry is back), Suns, that's three Ls right there. They should be able to beat the tanking Jazz...Mavs are one of those tricky bad teams, 3-4 losses right there. If they lose 4 games or just lose out, which is possible...they could be 6th...If they do alright, then it'll be 4/5 We also play Minny so the 6th seed will likely have 31 losses whoever that might be...and we play the Warriors too with Curry returning so we know we're going to lose to Daddy Curry again so yeah, our best hope is the Lakers get in that 4/5 range and we can get there too if we beat Minny.
Stone & Ime better to do whatever necessary math to win and lose to match the Lakers where we get home court advantage against them for the 1st round. I honestly feel like this is our only chance to actually feel confident about a 1st round series win and it’s sad to say but they better hope other top teams we would face in the 2nd round have players that go out with lingering issues where the Rockets start meshing and said team is depleted and having to figure it out on the fly where we have a chance.
Minny lost to the 6ers tonight too... So that makes it harder for the Lakers to get 6th...it will be interesting to see how these teams maneuever 3-6 because I'm sure everyone wants to play the Lakers. At the same time, the 3 seed is not a bad place to be. I doubt Denver drops to 6 so I feel the 3 seed is the best way to avoid them in the first round.
They won’t, these idiots never do the right thing, they even make that free throw when they’re supposed to miss it, idiots tank but don’t do the right thing I hate this front office lol
It looks like it ends up: 3 Den 4 Lal 5 Hou 6 Min Is that what other people see? We're not catching Den and probably not Lal. So we play Lal in the first round. We can beat them without Luka. We SHOULD beat them without Luka.
