    He's 6th (in a 5 way tie for 6th), but that's actually a very sad percentage. Only 3% would want him as their coach?! I mean...that ties him with Avery Johnson, I wouldn't think that's very good company.

    Sloan? No way. Nobody wants to play for that guy. No way in hell. Rudy would be up there if A. he was coaching and B. players still remembered who he was.

    JVG would win this poll by 50% margin. JVG is the only "championship level" coach that has not won any championship yet. So, JVG will take his next team to win at least 5 consecutive championships. If any player want to win a championship, they need to make sure they are going to play for JVG. Otherwise, no championship. As simple as that.

    There seemed to be some discrepancies on Jeery Sloan ranking where he among the likeable and also the least likeable head coach. However, Pat Riley ranking as one least likeable head coach is consistent.

    I was actually surprised to see Sloan in the most likeable list, but when you compare the percentages (4% would like versus 12% would not like), there seems to be some sense to it.

    other than don nelson and Rick adelman, most of those results are biased towards current winning coachers.

    nobody wants to play for pop, hes an ass. they want to win tho, so then its biased.

    I just doubt those surveys. Last year JVG was one of the coaches that players don't want to play for. But in reality, it seems majority players JVG coached loves him. And Shaq 6% behind Kobe? That has to be joke at this moment.

    All the top five are not 'player coach' and had reputation to be very harsh on players. It means that not like many fans and owners like Les, players weights 'winning now' much more than coach's personality.
