A big yes...keep him away from the Colts. Let the colts be forced to ride it out with Trent.

Just bc yu sign him doesn't mean you have to play him. Give him his few hundred thousand that he's owed and keep him on the bench in case of emergency.

Y'all are trippin. Let the Colts have him. It would be like them having two Trent Richardsons... Lol. Tate hasn't been very good and he may not be 100% healthy because of the injury he had this year.

I think some of you are overblowing how good Tate actually is.

He's definitely not worse than Trent...if you force the Colts into a situation where they have to give 20+ carries to Richardson, then they will have trouble winning games bc the defense can just sit back and worry about Luck only. Tate, although injury prone, is a much more dynamic runner when healthy. You take every edge you can get in football. This is a very low risk move with the potential to give the Colts a disadvantage in certain situations. You take anything you can get.

i don't think he's any good either. Two Trent Richardsons in Indy works for me.

They've won games giving Richardson 20 carries before. Plus I do not think Tate is healthy after the knee injury he had earlier this year. But I hope they do pick up Tate, so he can be a locker room headache and a suck it up on the field... Advantage Texans.

I'd rather them have Tate than Blunt.

An injury plagued career and that yardage total you're giving is in Houston. He's averaged 3.14 yards per carry this year.

So he has to be claimed... He doesn't have a choice...?

Besides Indy, I'm thinking Arizona or Denver as well.

He probably won't make it down to Indy. But even if he does, who cares? He kinda sucks.

He, like many RBs, was a dynamic runner in Kubiak's system. He's been abysmal in Cleveland without the ZBS. Any notion that he's a difference maker is giving him waaaay too much credit, IMO. He's a mediocre back who's proven to be a locker room headache; I say let the Colts have him all day.

Lulz? He's literally running the same system in Cleveland he did here.

Let him go to the Colts. We'll bottle him up there, too.

look at the numbers before they lost their pro bowl center and after. Everyone of their RBs has sucked in ypc since that injury. I can't believe people can't see that but whatever.

Yes, losing their center hurt... But the two rookies have still been producing despite that and Tate's YPC has been worst than theirs.

he was released, so he must clear waivers in order to have a choice.
