I'll be crying Luxury Tax Savings if they sign Gary Clark back for the rest of the season? Huh? Yeah, they sign him back, I will shrug it off.
Watch Frazier highlights from the G-League. There's a reason that he missed training camp and still kept his spot, he's a baller.
Good for you. (Does that include no “Tilfart” posts about it?) As for me, I definitely will be crying LTS, etc etc. But maybe not in the form of actual cfnet posts.
Problem is that Frazier is yet another 6'3 guard. Rockets full to rim with guards, need at least 2 forwards who are 6'7+ with 7'0+ wingspan.
For sure, but I'm firmly against need over talent. We need a "BIG 3/4/5" type of player more than a Michael Frazier right now, but that can change in a heartbeat. I do wish Clark could fill the PJ backup spot, but after a trade or signing takes place he might have even less of a chance of playing here. I like Clark, but I'm talent over need always. It was need over talent thinking that had us drop Rob Covington years ago.
are you following and hoping in a "whoopty ****ing doop" "imma board on cfnet" sort of way like @J.R., or an "fick Tilfart" sort of way if we do sign him back. I'm in the later. Can't stop checking to see if ORL signs him.
No way! What an inspiration to fathers everywhere - pro basketball player by day, father to a Grammy award winner by night!
In the "Tillman is a cheap b*stard and I hope he doesnt sign this scrub back for cheap roster help" kind of way. I like to cover all my bases.
RoCo was waived to retain vets. McHale was also to blame for not playing Covington even after he led Vipers to DLeague championship and earned MVP. Rockets waived him to keep Francisco Garcia and Omri Casspi. Called it crazy even then.
"The Rockets had already showed interest in that kind of acquisition. On the day they released Gary Clark, the Rockets were optimistic about completing a deal for a range-shooting power forward that in their system would have been viewed as a potential floor spacing center. Given how often they have moved toward using small lineups, they could consider adding a four/five a goal." https://www.houstonchronicle.com/sp...s-are-approaching-trade-deadline-15014985.php
