I agree - and the shocker last season was the whole Knight/Chriss pay assets to dump instead of taking back 2 viable bodies that could have contributed. Having said that, is Gary Clark honestly a contributer at NBA level? He still needs time. Nobody has grabbed him (et). He is a 6'6 C who is trying to learn to play on the wing, and an horrendous shooter who needs mass repetitions. COULD be a nice 3'n'D guy down the track, but won't be this season. There is nothing to say that he won't be back with the team next year. In which case this is a zero future cost move. For those who wonder "why is Nene still with the team"? Well, basically his salary is useful up until the deadline. If we can't translate him (and Thabo?) into something else, then my guess is that we will see the end of him.

we have like the 5th biggest payroll. spending money just to spend money isn’t a great move now or long term. getting so one like RoCo or iggy ya if tilman wouldn’t sign off on that I would get the fuss. but Gary Clark? I don’t get what’s the big deal we kept Ben hartenstein who have actually contributed and are decent trade pieces as salary filler and hartenstein has decent potential and Ben in a solid rotation player on most teams, If used right.
