He still does it occasionally, but yeah, I've been thinking that a lot of his efficiency issues simply stem from choosing to take too many bad midrange shots / shots that aren't deep enough in the paint. I feel like the vision for him to be a max-level player (which doesn't necessarily mean a #1 option, he can just be a #2 guy) is one of the following: 1) Get a lot better at scoring on these shots and/or at making three pointers. If he can become a more-efficient 22-24 points per game guy that's easy max value. I think this is looking less likely these days, but not out of the question, we've seen flashes of it. 2) Re-focus his game, de-prioritize scoring for himself and become more focused on playmaking and defense, while getting just a little bit better at 3P shooting (i.e. Draymond Green level). I think he'd actually be a better player if he was a 16, 9, and 9 guy with more efficient shooting and more consistent defense. The way he plays right now wastes a lot of possessions. To be fair, some of this is due to the lack of great 3P shooting around him, a problem that has plagued us his entire career.
