I’m just curious how it was so easy for Miami to get 2 firsts and a second for player who’s never made a pro bowl. But we can’t get squat for a 2 time all-pro regardless of contract dispute. Tunsil is up for a deal soon too
ever watch channel 2 news during a hurricane? They'll have these segments on gas stations that Jack the price up on everything to take advantage of the desperate and ill prepared. Except the dolphins are not being shamed. You won't see the dolphins gm walking to his car covering his face.
The Texan's list of draft busts is long. Kind of like the Rockets. This is a factor that needs to be considered.
So in 2020 they have the ammo to trade back into the 1st if needed and I look at Tunsil as their 1st Rd pick. The 2021 draft will look alot like the 2018 draft and I'm ok with this because I think Tunsil is an young all pro caliber level LT that has his best football ahead of him. The 2018 didn't harm the franchise and neither will the 2021 draft.
Man, this sounds a lot like Charlie Casserly's way of explaining his draft pick trading. The reality is that we traded two 1sts and a 2nd, after spending another 1st this year reaching on a raw tackle prospect and paying another LT bust $10 mil, for Larry Tunsil. I like Tunsil but we still have uncertainty at every other o-line spot. So no high draft picks the next two years and possibly a wasted 1st rounder this year. Thats a bad situation for any franchise. Thats very harmful. Then we basically gave away our second best defensive player, instead of trading him earlier in the offseason for a sh#t ton of picks.
This is the NFL, and injuries are so prevalent, not being able to have high draft picks really puts the franchise in a predicament.. But the next GM will have a lot of financial leverage (cap space) to maneuver with...
