Yeah I get that. And it was pretty much fantasy talk, but who really knows what the caps going to be like in the near future. I don't, but people keep bringing it up like it's going to explode. Maybe they know. In my head, that would be one hell of a team.
I think if you wanted to take the chance you could get a trade to get the number 2 pick. Rockets #7 pick Bucks pick Nets pick swaps Nets 2024 and 2025 pick some of the young players on the rockets not named Green/Sengun/Jabari Maybe that is too much, just right, or not enough... who knows. The Rockets having somewhere between the 3rd-10th pick matters greatly as well. Each slot you fall down is pretty huge.
This is a good year to suck. You could be picking #5 this season and I think you would get a franchise guy. There are multiple prospects this year who could be the #1 pick but would be clear cuts any other year.
Who are no 3-5? LMAO. Personally I think the opposite I think majority of the talent in this draft went to Wemby and Scoot.
Scoot made me a believer. The vision and athleticism was always there but the shooting he developed in 1 year is a testament to his work ethic. His interview was real nice too, talked about winning rather than the hype surrounding his matchup with Wemby.
Dariq whitehead from Duke, Thompson bros OT elite, Whitemore from NOVA, Keyonte George Baylor, Dillon Mitchell Texas. I'm probably missing someone and I bet someone will emerge into the picture once college starts.
None of those guys are no 1 material imo, although to be fair its still early in the season. Who among these guys are clear cut better than Banchero/Jabari/Chet? Or Cade/Jalen/Mobley? I only know Thompson Twins and those guys have broken Js while playing in a joke league.
Dude would take Amen over Paolo/Chet/Jabari he's obv not biased lmao. I dont buy what the Thompson Twins are selling they are playing in a highlight league and "exhibition games". Both these environments arent really conducive to opponents playing hard while the Twins can go and do their thing cuz nobody is playing hard vs them. If they join a tournament where teams are actually trying to win and dominate there thats when I'll be impressed.
