    But don't, for one second, say that the reason Lin was benched in favor of Toney Douglass was because of racism. That is truly pathetic that would even come up.

    I'm as frustrated as the rest of us that Lin didn't see the floor at all in overtime, but I honestly am so sorry for those who honestly are so short-sighted that they believe racism was to blame...:rolleyes:

    Racism also had nothing to with Lin being undrafted. He's never dealt with any bias at all in fact.

    If I were to bet...I'd say that Sampson believed that Douglass was the superior defensive player to put on Damian Lillard, and since he was starting to heat up towards the end of the game, Sampson wanted a better defensive player on him.

    Now....do I agree with that strategy if that was, in fact, the case? Probably not. Jeremy Lin is the better player, so he should be playing in overtime.

    But that is my guess as to what happened.

    I never thought it was racism until now but there's no basketball reason for Lin to sit the entire OT.

    Outside of the fact he was facilitating the offense well and doing a much better job than TD on Lillard, we also pay the kid $8 million a year.

    It wasn't due to racism. It was due to human deficiencies. Sampson needs to ride the short bus.

    I completely agree that it was a poor basketball decision to bench Lin in favor of Douglass. But racism? Not at all.

    Sampson benches Lin (6Reb/11ast/1steal/2blocks/+5) for 2nd unit TD(2Reb/1ast/0blocks/-6)

    Sampson benched him cuz hes the new Tank Commander. IBTL:mad:
