Russell Westbrook has Knee Surgery out for 2018 training camp and Preseason

Russell Westbrook (right knee surgery) has still not been cleared for full-contact work. Westbrook is making progress and has been able to go through some "very controlled contact," according to head coach Billy Donovan, but it's looking more and more likely that Westbrook won't be ready for opening night. He'll be re-evaluated on Wednesday, at which point we should get an official timetable, but he can no longer be viewed as a first-round option with him likely to begin the season on the sidelines.
