Was just reading about this in the TexAgs forum. Tried to get on the Husker forum but the site is down.

 

Why quit? The season is almost done, transfer...

Bo Pelini seems like a jerk*ff to me anyway.

 

He'll probably transfer in the Spring.... he can't transfer now. I'd love to have him at Texas.

Last night in the football thread, I said it looked like the Nebraska coach had anger management problems. The guy was yelling and screaming at everyone who came near him. I thought the coach looked out of control angry. I don't think the Nebraska fans are going to be happy about this.

 

Internet rumors supposely Martinez called his dad when he went to the locker room hurt thats why Pellini was mad..

Also Marinez dad has been writing letters to Pellini on how his son should be used.

Sounds like another helicopter parent aka Craig James

Dunno what Pellini was screaming about, but considering Martinez had just gotten hurt it really made him look like a douche.

 

Are you saying that parents should be able to tell their kid's coaches how they should be utilized?

 

They should just fire Pelini.

 

Are you kidding? Pelini has brought this team back to one of the best defensive programs of college football since he was hired. Just because he may have some anger management issues doesn't mean he should be fired.

 

I am saying that perhaps his dad has a better idea of how to get the best out of his kid, and has seen some things that might help.

And letting his coach know, could be good for everyone.

Are you suggesting that Pelini has all the answers?

Remember this post the next time you want to complain about youth league parents.

And yes, I realize there's a world of difference b/t the two situations.

 

I listen to all the parents, doesn't mean I follow their advice, but I listen.



The point about Pelini here is that clearly Martinez and he are having issues, and sometimes coaches screw things up with talented players.

Marcus Dupree has been called the best RB that Switzer ever coached, and Barry has said he did the worst coaching job of his career on him...he was too hard on the kid.

Part of being a good coach is recognizing that all the players have different buttons that need to be pushed to get the best results.

Treating all kids or players the same is a personality flaw...and a lack of a deeper understanding of people in general.

if true, that would be the dumbest thing a coach as done..well almost but pretty stuipd to let a talent slip away...yeah, i didn't know wtf he was yelling about...
