[rumor] Stoops To Be ND's Next Coach

I am not saying all warm weather places win, I am saying it is harder to win in cold weather schools and if I was a coach why would I leave ou for nd.

 

All the good schools were on TV 10 years ago. We're talking late 1990s, not the 1970's. If you wanted to be on TV, all those big southern schools were on TV just as much. The only difference now is that the crappy schools are on TV as well - but that's not where that top-tier talent is going.

 

AL, your argument may have merit, but it's really irrelevant to be honest with you. ND isn't worrying about challenging for a national title every year, they are worried about being relevant every year. I don't care what the weather is, there is zero reason to think that ND can't win between 8-10 every season (save the occasional down year) and be a serious top 10 team. Will they win a title in a decade? I don't know, but I don't think it's unrealistic for them to shoot for one.

West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Boise State, Iowa, Penn State, Illinois, Texas Tech, Utah, Ohio State, TCU...

Can you look at that list and point to a single school and say "ND has no chance to compete with that school?"

If you can't (which you can't) then the results at ND for the last decade plus are unacceptable.
