Any talk in Houston of Root Sports picking up the Dynamo? Surely the channel could use the content, and the team needs a TV partner...
Still no official word on this. I'm guessing either the negotiations on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement are done or after their preseason road trip in Carolina or the March 3 jersey/kit unveiling that they will announce a new local TV deal.
NINE of them on the Univision network channels (SIX [6] on Unimás, THREE [3] on Univision Deportes Network). :grin: Yay! TWO [2] on ESPN2/Deportes ONE [1] on Fox 1 A few in NO TV AT ALL for now, unless you have the MLS package. Ooops.
Cable providers might be waiting on the players to agree on the new CBA with the owners before committing to anything. MLS players are talking about striking
As a reminder, for the games on Spanish language channels... hitting SAP on your TV will actually give you English commentators. Something I learned watching La Liga recently!
Didn't work for me during the 2nd Dynamo game (on Unimas I think). They kept breaking in and telling the audience that it could be done, but the audio didn't change for me. Worked on other channels, so I'm not sure what the problem was.
I was watching the Dynamo / Orlando game on a Spanish station and my commentary was automatically in English.
Telemundo does this for some soaps and the news. It's on a per-channel thing, not a cable company thing.
