I'm looking for one to mount on my sloped roof and want to make sure it is exactly 10 feet. I want a breakaway rim, acrylic or glass backboard that is preferably 60" or bigger. Was hoping to find a deal around this time of year. Has anybody seen any good deals or have any experience/thoughts on this? Here is the best option I've found so far but a little too pricey for me. http://www.hoopshouston.com/basketball/roof_king/platinum.html
had one like that in middle school and i broke the garage door cus i keep missing shots and it would hit the door. i'd also slam into the door on failed layup attempts. ok well i didn't break it, but it was a little misshaped.
no, didn't have the strength to lift one back then. i was small. but i did try launching 15-20 feet buzzer beaters which completely missed the goal.
I have one of Pro Dunk Hoops Adjustable In-Ground Hoops and it's great and good quality. They have the style you are looking for as well: https://www.produnkhoops.com/basketball_goals/roof_wall/compare.php
Thanks that is what I posted in my OP. After installation the 60" backboard is $1k. Seems too expensive for a goal to put on top of my garage.
Did you also dent it from practicing small-ball, rim-protection defense using Euro flopping techniques? That can hurt.
